I most heartily recommend Death Note. I'm into it and Claymore right now. ^_^

Death Note is amazing, simply put. It is a MUST watch.

Blood+ is also another great one I got into, along with Bleach, which needs no explanation.

Great Teacher Onizuka, or simply GTO is a real knockout as well. Amazingly funny, and touching at times as well. This is another must see.

I also loved Beck, the story of a japanese band on their way to America. It's short, something like 23 episodes or so only. Great story.

Death Note is the most intense anime/manga I've ever seen without having very much direct violence. It is amazing.

I suppose you could try out Nodame Cantobile, but that's a more lighthearted and character based anime than anything else. Regardless, I myself enjoy it a lot so I would recommend trying it out. There aren't that many episodes out.

InuYasha is like crack when you finish, you go through withdrawls.... even if, as Azrael told me, it's the same story line EVERY episode.

I'd recommend Escaflowne-- the series is like 26 episodes long and *gasp* has an ending. There's also a movie. I recommend watching the movie second. It's fairly entertaining.

Hellsing is also very smashing. 13 episodes, no ending... but if you don't love Alucard, Seras, and Integral at the end of the 13 episodes, you're crazy!

The 5 episodes of Golden Boy might also be entertaining to a male audience.

Id have to agree with most of the animes posted here. some animes id recommend are Kenichi-History's Strongest Diciple its funny has fighting(sometimes) it'll take a few eps to get into but its good so far(its a new series so its barely on ep 21) Kaibatsu ojou (monster Princess) is fairly interesting its about a demonic princess who is being hunted by her own brothers. she lost her army and is now basically looking for new servants. Air gear-if you havent seen it then watch it

oldy but a goody
Bandit king Jing
Yuyu hakusho

ive seen many animes and am still watching many more at leat interesting ones most of the animes posted here ive watched at least to an extent any other interesting ones you guys might have?

Oops, I screwed up on the spelling. It's Cantabile.

I'd also recommend Fruits Basket, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Witch Hunter Robin and more, if I could remember more.

Oh yeah. Last Exile, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenoboshi and Wolf's Rain.

Even more still elude me. Ah, well.
