:Askua was still busy cleaning the bar, when Sotick introduced himself. She jumped and spilled his new drink, mostly on him.:

"AH!!!!!!! Oh dear, not good, not good at all. This will never do, I am sorry Mr. Sotick I get lost in my work. Let me get that."

:Askua stretched over the bar to wipe the spilled drink off Sotick's shirt. In doing so she bumped the bartender, causing him to nearly loss the drink he was mixing. I return he bumped her, sending her spilling over the bar and onto Sotick. The barstool tumbling over with them. Askua landed on top of Sotick, she didn't seem at all embarrassed by this situation, as if it happened often. She smiled, now seeing the chance to property clean Sotick's shirt. She reached down and pulled the shirt off. She stood and looked down at Sotick.:

"I will be back Mr. Sotick I am just going to run off and clean this shirt for you."

:With that she sliped out of the room and to the laundry faculties to clean the shirt.:

the moment that she spilled his drink on him he was shocked and hoping that the bartender was making him a new one, but once (from soticks point of wiew) she pounced in his lap he was did not care that he was soaking wet . Then he lost all of his worries as he glimpsed into her beautiful eyes, became mesmerized, and didnt get a chance to stop her from taking his shirt off.

as she head towards what he supposed to be a washing room of some sort he was was still in shock as he realized that he didnt the beatiful madien's name.

he forgot about his other drink the bartender was making and leaped of his stool to follow her.

he called out,
"exuse me miss...Miss! i didnt get your name!"

She apperntly didnt hear him, so instead of making a fool of his shirtless self by yelling, (Not that he was ashamed of his muscular mercenary chest), he took off following her...

"Captain Helene Delia Raleigh" the doorman announced her name with a formal flaire. It sounded a little to Helene like he wanted to caress her like he caressed her name when he pronounced it. Blushing on the outside and cringing on the inside, Helene pushed past the man into Ravencrest Manor.

She would have enjoyed the party more if it hadn't been a formal invite. Helene longed to leave the facade of the sweet captain at home-- to drink lager and get in brawls and spitting contests. However, this was business and she was here as "Helene" and not as "Captain Raleigh"... so no matter how much she wanted to wear pants and to spit and swear like she did with the men aboard her ship, she had a reputation of grace and elegance to keep up.

Helene glided towards the ballroom in the soft, grey gown she was wearing. The gown's simple lines and flowing fabric intensified her natural beauty. The tatters on the gown and the pale face paints she'd used gave her a ghastly, ghost-like appearance. The look was elegant, but fierce.

In mimiced delight, she beamed when she saw the elaborate decorations and other guests' costumes as she entered the ballroom. Outwardly, she was acting the over-excited girl, giddy with delight at the prospects of being invited to such a party. Inwardly, she was roiling and cringing at the dainty young bucks who needed napkins to soak up the frothing around their mouths due to the number of beautiful women attending as guests.

"Great. Just great. Another stuffy party," she mused to herself-- hopefully not too loudly as to be overheard.

Making her way to the bar (in hopes of numbing herself to the drab affair by getting a little tipsy), she ordered a frou-frou drink.

I wonder how many of these it will take to equal the potency of rum I have aboard my ship, she thought. Oh, well. Knocking the first drink back, she ordered another and began to walk the room-- mingling and taking in her surroundings.

Mathias was glad to see someone else making fools of themselves as he ordered his drink. He was so happy in fact, that he forgot that he was wearing a mask as he poured the wine down the front of it and onto his clothes. Sigh. Without a word he turned and walked from the bar. This whole night was a bad idea.

He wandered up the stairs to the second story, not really feeling like being in the crowd just now.

Lord Marcus just continued to scowl at the scene below him, and doing his best to ignore the shameless displays going on down at the bar.

And here this was supposed to a formal affair, and yet this riff-raff is allowed in? I may be forced to have words with the host, he thought to himself.

Lost in his musings and disgust at the display, he did not see the approaching lady that seemed to be intent upon him.

The doors were thrust open, causing a small disturbance. In the darkness there stood a towering figure. As he stepped out of the cold and into the light, his features came into view. He was a very big man, all muscle, a foot or two taller than the average man and nearly naked, save for the pair of leather shorts he was wearing.

The brute stepped foward, closed the doors behind him and spoke in a commanding tone, "Me here. Party start!"

*As Mydraas stepped towards Lord Marcus an enchanting smile curled her lips. She was quite intent on getting something out of this night even if it was a formal party. Her navy blue dress shimmered in the light from the chandeliers giving her a soft glow. As she reached his side she casually leaned back onto the balcony letting her hand just brush his. She had a very pleasing figure and the dress accentuated all of her curves. As her hand brushed his she kept her eyes on the floor below knowing if she acted to interested right away it would likely run him off. A sigh escaped her lips as the maid made a rather large scene by the bar. Mydraas would have thought that only the waiters and the bar tender would have been allowed into the view of the party.*

Twenty. Twenty frou-frou drinks it had taken to get Helene a little tipsy. Tipsy enough to relax and let the music wash over her like a cleansing bath. Twenty drinks to ease her nerves and let her relax into a less frigid version of Helene. Twenty drinks and she was dancing.

The music was delicious and each song with it's own dizzying melody called to Helene's feet like hungry rats to the Pied Piper's call. Dipping, twirling, whirling across the dance floor she went-- the folds in her skirt opening like petals from a flower in full bloom before snapping shut as she'd pivot and dance another direction.

She was having so much fun, she didn't notice the guest until it was too late.... they collided and Helene's dizzying momentum knocked them both to the ground. She lay atop the guest and in a half-giddy pant she expressed her apologies.

"Oh, my! I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to... I didn't see you. I'm so sorry. Can I help you up?"

Hesitant to move from his location the man sighed and moved over to the bar. There was little point in him having come if he didn't socialize, was there? Sitting on one of the stools he ordered a strong drink of rum and had it in his hands.

Emptying it into his mouth intermittently as though it were a funnel, Allen stayed in a very quiescent, contemplative mood. He was actually surprised that the rum had tasted this good, but he drunk it anyways in disregard to the sweetness.

Looking at the corner of his eye he returned his vision upon the finally drunk woman. She was interesting to him and he felt something stir within him that he hadn't felt since he began his days as an avid outdoors sportsman. Something he knew was wrong.

Realizing his head was fully turned to stare at her Allen returned his head towards his mug and finished off the large drink. "More," he ordered bluntly. He got his wish and drunk heavily yet again, glad for the burn down his throat.

RE:

Postby The Killer » October 14th, 2007, 3:49 pm

As the assassin walked up the steps and ascended to the second floor where he believed he would be safe from the public eye, a lone man stalked up the stairs after him, unseen. The Assassin named Mathias entered a dark hallway that was barely lit, save for a few dim electrical lights and candles.

With a small hand motion, the lights went out and a small breeze moved through the hallway and blew out the candles. The Killer retrieved his knife and slit the throat of the assassin who was a failure, he put shame to the name and he must not be allowed to continue his failing missions. As the blood of the assassin flooded out of his jugular, the lights in the ball room also went out, the killer dragged Mathias into the ball room and hung him on the chandelier as all were frantically trying to find the source of the power outage. With his knife he carved a message into the floor directly under the dead man hanging. It read:

"All ye who fear death,
Leave now,
For soon you shall breath your last Breath,
and to me you shall forever bow."

The Killer felt the man's spirit lift and come into the room, he acted fast and blended again within the crowd as the lights flickered on and the gasps and screams filled the room.

“Have you seen him?” Her face was nearly against the doorman’s. Gray eyes wide, they looked as if they were being pushed out of their sockets. The doorman didn’t know what she was talking about, of course, but she knew he actually did. He shook his head.

“Bah.”

The smell of the feast turned her attention. This party could have pulled him in. If she was him, she would be here. Just as she was about to step inside the man stopped her with a hand on her shoulder and asked for her invitation.

“Oh, yes yes.” Her hands fumbled around in her semi-raggy dress. “Yes. Here,” she pushed the crumbled invitation into his hand. By sucking her lips into a small circle she make a squeaky sound, looking around to see if her pet heard her. It’d be easier if she remembered the color of his hair.

She headed up the stairs to borrow a costume from one of the people who lived here. Her clothes were replaced with a bit more fancy set as she grabbed a wig and mardi gra mask. It had cute kitty ears.

As she stepped out the lights went out, making her go still. Being on the balcony let her see the hung man way too clearly. After the shock past she cursed under her breath and ignored the staring people as she pushed through them. Moving towards the center of the crowd looking at the message she asked one of the more observant-looking people; after all, they were looking at that message so intently.

“Have you seen my Cat?” Her voice had changed to fit her costume, a bit of a scratchy purr added.

"Captain Helene Delia Raleigh" Was it? I had just come to mention that you dance a bit like most of the sailors I know, though you do put a bit more pleasing sights to the eyes. I am known as dedman, due to my professional talents, but am here on sabbatical. I'm not known for it, but would you care to dance wi--

His speech stopped as he noticed blood on his shirt, a few small drops caught his eye, though the bloodlust in his eyes was evident, the thin figure rose as he continued to speak with an even tone.

"I believe that someone was haning on for dear life, and lost their grip." Pointing upward and laughing slightly at such a bad joke. "I believe it would be best, if you and I stayed together until we figure out what is going on, as I don't remember any plans for decorations of this nature."
This one came from looking
This one opened twice
These two seem as smooth as silk, flush againt my eyes
This one needed stiches and
This one came from rings
This one isn't even there, but I feel it more because you don't care

Helene's cheeks flushed as she stood up. She dusted her dress off as dedman introduced himself. Red spots appeared on dedman's shirt and he pointed up. Helene gazed up at the balcony where he was pointing and screamed.

The music instantly stopped as everyone turned to see what the commotion was. Backing away, Helene pointed at the hanging man, swaying from his noose on the balcony. Gazes followed her gestures towards the balcony and then the panic commenced.

Groups were organized as people went upstairs to cut down the body. Others got ready to leave before the party was really done. A few people merely sneered, turned up their noses and continued going about business as usual. Some wanted to continue partying, but decided to wait until things settled down to get back in the groove.

Helene didn't want to admit that she wanted to see the body, so she offered her hand to dedman, "I think I agree with you-- we should stay together and try to figure out what's going on." She hoped he'd catch the hint and take her upstairs, as the murder scene would more than likely be where the killer would be least expected to strike again. Besides, Helene wanted to get a better look at the murder scene to try to deciper it herself, and hanging on the arm of a gallant male in the guise of a frail woman would make her look a less threatening target.

:Askua looked about, the shirt was now clean and dry ready to be returned to its owner. With a smile she spun about, and left the laundry room. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed someone leaving a room. She turned and walked to the room. The door was closed, so she opened it just as the lights went out. When the lights came on she screamed in terror. The once clean room was a mess, not just any kinda mess. Rather a bloody one, and she hated to clean up blood, and there was a lot on the floor. She looked to the shirt and hung it over the door knob.:

"This makes two rooms that I have had to clean twice today, and this one worse then the last. Oh dear this will never do."

:She pulled out a rag from her apron and knelt in the door way. She began to start cleaning up the blood, on her knees and one hand. The other hand scrubbing the blood off the hard wood floor, and the rag in soaked with blood. After a bit she began to look about for something proper to clean the mess.:

"The broom closet will have a mop, that will do just fine."

:She stood and walked off down the hall to the broom closet, returning the bloody rag to her apron. She didn't notice that the blood soaked through her apron and left a bloody mark it. Her right hand also bloody from attempt to clean the floor. She returned moments later with a mop and bucket though she was not back to the room someone rounded the corner.:

"Oh my."

Allen's eyes followed the few droplets of blood down to dedman's shirt. Having been keeping tabs on Helene the man happened to notice the blood falling, and when only a moment before dedman pointed upwards and screamed did he see the body. It was revolting yet fascinating all at once.

His mind had never thought to move so much as far as murder. Allen realized now that someone greater than him was tracking him- tracking all of the ball's guests. Those who were here were an easy target to grab and kill recklessly and those who left for home could be tracked immediately following the end of the party. All one had to do was find all of the invitations and that would lead the killer to each and every one of them.

The man had been foolish. He scowled mentally at himself for being so fallible and moved his mind back to watching Helene. His previous scorn was gone, replaced by a gentle hint of humor as the drunk woman acted lady-like to present herself as a less threatening target.

He almost laughed out loud. A less threatening target is one that can be more easily killled, and if the murderer had begun to slaughter the guests for a realistic reason other than for entertainment then Helene and dedman would easily be a good next pick.

The man needed to find allies to protect himself. Helene seemed like a good pick and so with his mind set on introducing himself he moved to follow her and dedman in an untraceable manner. His first move was to get up, leaving the mug of rum on the bar, and to walk closer to under the body to look up at it.

"A pity, isn't it?" Allen lamented very unconvincingly in a deep and rough but articulated voice. "The party had only just picked up, too."
