The sword’s course started true, yet Joe fell backward. The grin upon the Assamite’s face brightened to unholy glee. He took note of Agustus rapidly approaching, but his current foe was upon the ground, and that meant DiRamon could begin adding to the death toll.

An unfortunate twist of events thwarted his joy as a blunt pain shot through his legs, backwards he began to tumble. He kept his sword out and up then fully extended so as to shield him from any further attack. He caught a glimpse as a blade passed quickly overhead, then he felt an intense flow of air follow the sword, but he had already begun to roll.

Then he was struck again, this time it was not by a weapon of war, but an internal sense. He looked up even as he begun to tuck his knees close to his chest in order to continue his roll. There was the kindred! Oh what joy filled his soul, he quickly considered the options. An invigorating snack seemed appeal to him most.

Upon the first full tumble he stopped, crouching, blood was boiled and magic would be felt. With blurring speed the vampire shot upwards, his destination akin to that of the vampire who would just be landing seconds earlier upon the roof as well.

He would not waste time, words were for the weak at this point. The moment he would land an attack would be set forth, an attempted lunge for the neck of child-like vampire brought to pass his powerful left set of claws.

Joe's plan worked, at first. The vampire stumbled backwards but rolled with it, then lept into the air, at ... Hell, he spotted Blythe on the rooftop. Joe reacted just as quickly, he had no more time for his ruse. He rose on one foot, kicking off right behind his enemy. At the same time he let out a burst of lightning, hoping to catch his prey square in the back and knock him off course from landing on the roof.

Joe wasn't going to let anyone else die tonight at the hands of this man.

Approaching the city Crom spied what seemed to be some kind of battle going on. There wasn't much for him to see yet, but he continued onward to the scene.

Suddenly, lightning shot out at one of the vampires, for what reason Crom did not know. Still bodies on the ground alerted the draconian to death, and by his guess the killer was the one running away from the bolt of lightning. Only, he wasn't running away; he was running to another figure, one he was about to latch onto...

It was hectic, and fast. For the moment Crom decided to monitor the battlefield and wait for an appropriate moment to strike, the displaced air created by his wings gently keeping the draconian aloft.

With sudden decision the draconian swooped below and drew forth his claws during his dive bomb in an attempt to seriously injure the vampire attacking Blythe. His claws reached forward, looking for skin. Moments later and rather far away from the DiRamon, Crom turned about to see if he did anything, his wings flapping gently to keep him aloft.

Thinking back to just moments before, Crom realized with a start that he had some form of a conscience existing within him. He questioned why he never noticed it before and was consequently a little distracted from the battle.

Landing on the roof Blythe looked right where he knew it was. Taking a step he started to feel his neck tingling, the freezing sensation bringing his hand to it. It was odd, and odd enough to stop him. Glancing quickly behind him he noticed something coming at him fast, faster than even he could move.

Fast or not, Blythe would jump back; not caring where he landed. If he was lucky he would have been quick enough to keep this other person from colliding into him. His arms moved to wrap around his shoulders and over his neck, nearly panicking even as he listened to the tingle he felt before.

It was strange, but with the feel of other vampires around and this man coming towards him it was the only reaction he had, automatic or not.
Sweet child in time, you'll see the line;
The line that's drawn between good and bad.
See the blind man shooting at the world.
Bullets flying; taking toll.

If you've been bad, (oh) Lord, I bet you have
And you've not been hit, oh, by flying lead
You'd better close your eyes.
O-oh, bow your head.
Wait for the ricochet.

The attack worked or atleast he thought it did DiRamon dodged the attacks by bending backwards. Though flying up in the sky caught him by surprise, so did Joe's lightning attack. Needless to say this was fun. His left arm was no longer numb though a dull pain shot through it every now and then but it was not enough to deter him.

He looked towards the sky to see that the Boy from earlier was jumping around on the roof tops and now DiRamon was after him

"Figures the kid is a vampire... wonder if he's the query for the assamite or if its just hungry.... either way cant let him get any more blood into its system."

Joe had just went off after DiRamon as Gus pulled out his Bow and a couple of arrows. He started to head towards a few crates so he could get on to the nearest rooftop. He ran jumping rooftop to top in order to gain some ground and to get a good shot at the assamite.

DiRamon sped his course true and direct. Just as he reached the peak of his ascent opposition met. Twas not gravity for he had dominated her with his power for years, no this opposition was a familiar pain. Joe had apparently followed his track, the lightening caught his right leg first then quickly coursed through the rest of his cold body. Immediately both his sword and dagger were expelled from his hands, the other hidden blades and scraps of metal upon his body seared his flesh.

His consciousness faltered and he began to fall, but the opposition was not complete, for as his eyes opened once more he saw a creature swooping from above. Unsure weather fowl or fiend it mattered not for the moment for razor sharp claws soon sank into his face.

Drops of blood fell upon the rooftop seconds before a dead thud as a limp DiRamon struck rough clay shingles. Silence reigned supreme despite the flaps of the landing draconian and the hurried attempts of Agustus to perch himself upon a nearby roof.

The peace was vain, however as the body began to stir, the near faceless kindred lifted himself and somewhat shakily stood. His nose was nearly gone, half of his bottom lip lay down upon his chin attached only on the right side. The entire cheek and ear upon the left side of his face was gone and deep scrapes were revealed upon the exposed bone.

The geyser within began to billow as a new anger swelled inside. He was not unacquainted with pain, but the Assamite did not appreciate damages to his flesh, perhaps it was a tinge of pride and vanity. “Who’s the bastard that did this to my face?” he roared as a mighty beast provoked. The threat had increased now exponentially, a bare eye quickly scanned those present.

Then a sudden change took place, a laugh so cold and calm erupted as if riding upon that very same geyser of anger. His face suddenly appeared to relax as the collapsed bone cavity slowly began to retake form and solidity.

An aura of power seemed to roll off him as the fog from a block of ice in the open air. He brought his right hand up, beckoning to all but calling one, his dark katana began to lift from the ground ascending towards his extended hand.

Joe was not about to give this man a chance to play the great villian. As the vampire started his laugh, Joe stopped in mid air, bringing his right hand to his mouth and breathing in deep. He'd been dying to try this spell out ever since his return from earth.

The cone of fire erupted with barely a sound as he exhaled, shaping its path with his cupped hand. Joe made sure not to aim it close enough to hit anyone but the vampire who'd attacked them, still trying to encompass his prey completely.

Meanwhile, he raised his left hand, bringing in more mana and preparing his next spell.

After a moment Crom recovered from his grapple with morality and now had truly seen the damage he had caused. His eye scales opened a little and he spoke quietly to himself, "Apparently vampires aren't as powerful as the legends pit them out to be..."

He grew boisterous and overconfident suddenly, but deigned to keep watch far enough away in the air to see what was going on. A cone of fire shot out at the vampire and Crom was glad he didn't move forward for another attack. It didn't matter if he would have answered the vampire's burning question or not; Crom had not even heard him say it in his momentary daydream.

Regardless of his belief of the vampire's strength, he knew that in a state of undeath DiRamon could never be paralyzed with his tail's venom.

While jumping back Blythe saw that the other vampire was attacked, even from the sky. The lightning caster was readying to attack again. This left the Assamite on defense and enough of his attention off of Blythe for the small boy to move.

Wasting no time he reached down between two bits of the roof to grab what was hidden there. Gently he closed his small hand around the little bottle and turned to run. He was done with the curious tingle for now, and was ready to jump off and get away. There was no point for him to let the night pass and not get where he wanted.

Consciously ready to doge he listened carefully for the other vampire as he fled. If he was fast enough to get away Blythe would quickly move into the streets and out of this town.

It was time to head to a cooler, less hostile land.

As he jumped building to building holding his bow, he saw the assamite being attacked by what appeared to be a flying creature. He could not make out what it was do to its quickness though its attack left the assamite in a fit of rage. Playing it smart, He perched on the highest point available to him that was not too far off for his arrows to lose streangth. As the assamite finished its tyrade the child vampire disappeared from sight aswell as mind. all that was left was the assamite.

He let loose a few shots from his bow and prepared a few special arrows for later use

(sorry have to make it short im in sacramento for my sisters wedding and using her laptop which is kinda busted anyway later)

Reunited in a clasp of friendship, man and steel became one. Dark red tendrils of blood and muscle glistened in the moonlight as they flared outward, wriggling like panicked worms. Then they began to arc across the white bone of his mangled face, latching to the other side. The tell-tale twang of an arrow fired made him aware of a fast approaching danger, but it bothered him not. The first arrow grazed his left cheek, the second struck true and cracked upon his stone heart. Even as his muscles were wrapping the contours of his skull, the vampire took flight, a few more arrows sailing beneath him.

A raging inferno quickly pursued, whether the intent of the caster or the Assamite’s own doing it would be unknown to observers, but Kindred energies seemed to beckon the fire to follow. It obeyed as DiRamon flew towards the Draconian being, whose claws still reeked of his own cold blood. As the vampire quickly neared the blood that remained would begin to sizzle like acid upon the creatures claws.

Fury fueled his speed, and he harnessed the energies as best he could. He aimed not for the draconian per say, but above him, to fall behind him bringing down his sword with both hands upon the dragon kin. His vampyric strength need not play here, for did not with to end this worms life so quickly. No, death would be too easy for one so undeserving as him, to attack an already unconscious man as he fell.

Should all play as DiRamon had calculated, the beast would be sandwiched with fire closing in on him from one side, and steel speeding towards him from the other. The arrow still lodged in his chest would likely break as he brought down his mighty sword.

The assimite's movements stopped Joe short of completing his spell as he watched the vampire take a direct hit to the chest and still move with blinding speed, not towards Joe, but towards the newcomer to the fight. The fire followed for an instant, but without Joe's breath behind it, it quickly dissapated. Joe touched his own chest with the hand he was calling the mana into. A burst of energy hit his body that would make him able to move as fast, if not faster, than the vampire was moving. He let himself drop to the roof raising his hand once more to call this time only his staff to him. Blythe had seemed to escape, leaving Joe with the options he needed to end this.

Had Crom feared the cone of fire raging towards the vampire as well as him he would have turned tail and ran a safe distance to avoid any attacks from the vampire- metal may not be good at piercing his scales, but with vampiric strength behind it... it could be harmful, if not fatal. As the vampire flew at him, Crom countered his assault with his own charge, but intended to ram him to prevent him from using his held sword. His claws burned madly and as the two charged at each other, a deep, cacophonous roar bellowed from the draconian's mouth. With Crom surging forward, the vampire suddenly flew over him and Crom was free from attack. Expecting to meet at least the sting of a typical flame, all that Crom encountered from what was left of Joe's raging cone of fire were some remnants of heat which did nothing but warm up the draconian a little. Unless the vampire could control his flight through the air, Crom was free to dart sideways through the air, his wings whipping madly to propel him and yet again he set himself away from DiRamon, this time many more yards than before.

Crom's morale was wavering. Far enough away from the vampire the blood on his hands surely would cool down, in which case his mind would calm and he would collect his thoughts together as to why exactly he had joined this battle.

Unconsciously the draconian's hands ached for the feel of the protective wood of a great axe's handle.

Though he would have liked to use his ballistic arrows he figured that they would cause more harm unto his comrads than his enemy.
Fire was everywhere and unphasing the assamite. Gus Shot out a few more arrows to distract DiRamon hoping that it would bring it closer to the ground where manueverability is less than what he has in the air.

As DiRamon passed over his reptilian foe, Crom darted out to the side, with Joe’s fire already dissipated the sandwich that the Kindred had prepared would be nil. This would not worry the Assamite, for he enjoyed this game, DiRamon simply let his head fall forward would point him down, speeding his body’s descent. At this aerodynamic position his fall would be that of a meteor, seconds before reaching the ground the skilled warrior would throw his head back, turning his body once more. The landing was that of a dragon, causing the ground around him to dimple, shrouding him in a cloud of dust and debris.

“No one wants to come and play with me? Well maybe some toys will entice you!” DiRamon sent his mind out to the throwing blade that was lodged in the side of the building from earlier, he called to it and it came. Throwing this one and another in direction of the archer, DiRamon sent another two toys speeding towards Joe, then another two blades went in the dragon kin’s direction, another he sent straight upwards. Seven blades in all now took their flight, these were small blades, but guided with his mind and might.
