Zuka smiled to himself in glee as the two former friends fought to the death. One would die, he knew, which would remove himself of one less worry. He hoped it would be the knight who died, as Akunosh did have his uses. Finally, when all was finished, Akunosh looked towards him and asked for further orders. Zuka was quick to reply.

"Finish him. Then you will have completed your first task."

Akunosh was pleased with Zuka's response.

"Gladly, master."

With that, Akunosh drew up his sword, ignoring Mormont's pleas for mercy, and drove it through his throat. Blood and muscle tissue spewed out and showered him. Mormont cringed in pain and began to drown in his own blood. He writhed and shuddered violently, but it was futile.

Drawing out the blade, he drove it once more through him, this time in his chest. Even more blood spewed out, soaking Akunosh's armor and clothing. Finished with his first task, he drew out the sword from the knight's chest and sheathed it once more.

It was then that Akunosh noticed something...different. His once snow colored plate, mail, leather, clothing, and cloak had all been corrupted and were now a dark, insiduous onyx color. His sword, which had also been white and covered in holy fire was now obsidian and covered in black flames.

His fall into darkness was now complete.

:Lemac watched, and wondered... Akunosh was skilled and could be saved to serve her, but he was marked for Zuka. She smiled as she watched the battle between friends. It was a shame that one of the was going to die, but again, even the knight was marked before Lemac even saw the knight. She smiled to Akunosh as he finished the task. She turned to Zuka.:

"Master Zuka, very well played."

:She looked to Akunosh.:

"Akunosh, What is your heart's desire, what would like for your reward for completing this little task. But remember simple task, simple reward. The bigger the task, the bigger the reward."

Akunosh looked at Zuka, then Lemac while she spoke, then gave one more glance at Zuka. His choice was already made.

"I wish only to serve and obey Lord Zuka. Reveal your foes to me, and I shall slaughter them all without mercy. War has forged who I am, and you shall wield me effectively, as all I can tell."

The corrupted elf went to one knee.

"What shall my master have me do next?"

All was going as planned. Zuka mentally congratulated himself for the excellent job. And Lemac...she was quite useful, too. The Lich King turned his attention back towards the fallen paladin who knelt before him.

"Then you shall serve me, then. Arise, Akunosh Inarus, as the First Death Knight of the Lich King's army."

The demi-lich gave himself a mental smile. Indeed, all was going well.

"Your next task is simple yet important one. I shall be visiting the lands of the Frost Knights soon to find two important artifacts, and you shall accompany me. They are imperative to our continued victories. Succeed, and I will grant you immortality and powers that you have never wielded before. Fail, and I will slowly tear your body apart limb from limb while keeping your soul intact."
