Hi:

When a weap/armour flashes purple and there is no effect, does that mean the weap/armour can't be enchanted anymore? Or does this simply mean that you can't enchant anything more to it that day!?

You hit the enchant limit -- you can't enchant it anymore.

I lost so much gear that way.

I would do it on accident too, That the part that would make me so mad.
