Whenever you log in, click on Profile, then scroll down to the Signature portion and put in this code:

[img]*insert%20url%20address%20here*[/img]

That code will display the picture in the hosted link.

And as for your avatar, do the same.

The option for that is set to "off" by default when you register. You can find more information in the FAQ
