Anyone hear about that earthquake in LA today (Tues July 29, 2008)? I have a handful of friends who live in the LA area.... one of them says that the media is exaggerating the earthquake-- it wasn't really that bad.

Was anyone around here actually IN it?

My best friend recently moved to Los Angeles, and she said that it wasn't really that bad. The media is just hyping it up, as if it was ten or twenty times worse than what it really was.

Hooray for the blatant fear mongering media.

Hence i dont watch Tv or listen to the Radio (i got my Ipod for music an dthe comp for anime/tv media without comercials)

Are classes as hard as I always hear they are?

I've considered studying abroad but am always afraid I don't have the determination to stand up to the Japanese school rigor :l

Or maybe I've just been blinded. That would be nice.

From my understanding, the Japanese work their asses off in high school to get into college, then college is their only time to enjoy themselves because after college they work their life away. So compared to the states, high school is much harder and college is a joke.

But again, that's from my understanding
