WWYCD?: Lo! A Mark(And the General Rules)

This week's Premise:
(Please forgive me for the rambling below... It's been a long week....)

The cold had been going through Cartes for weeks, visiting house after house with it's cool chill. This was the worst winter for colds that Titan and all of Dragon Court had seen in some time. It didn't matter who you were, it seemed like everyone was getting it. It would start with a slight cough. A runny nose would follow. Most people were unable to catch their nose because it was running too fast and their energy seemed to be sapped out of them like thick maple syrup from the trees. That was another symptom-- loss of appetite. Eventually, you'd be bed ridden for a couple of weeks. In the worst cases whole families were ill at the same time, which made even the most mundane task a hardship.

Describe your character as being ill, treating the ill, whatever you'd like within reason. Be creative. Enjoy!

It was a late night for Ominous. He enjoyed magicking things, and sometimes got carried away figuring out how to weave more complex enchantments.

Tonight, he had repeatedly failed at weaponizing a piece of parchment. This was partially due to the fact that he didn't exactly know how to make something so mundane into a magical weapon; scrollmaking was easy, but Ominous had no ink to write with and no wish to memorize runes. The other reason he was having problems was that he was sick.

Ominous zapped the parchment again to no results. Re reared his hand back one more time and prepared a giant zap of magic. "Oh, would you just explode or someth-aght. Aght. Aght..." He felt a sneeze coming on.

"ACHOO!!!" He zapped his own nose which expelled fire, disintegrating the paper and scorching his desk. He sighed. "I wish I could say that was the first time that happened...today..."

The moon was starkly black in the sky, cutting a hole out of the dense field of stars peering through the sky upon the earth. There were scraps of food everywhere, and James was feasting with all the other animals on the foods littered the streets from uncaring, sickness-laden citizens. Luckily, he had almost all of the fruits and vegetables to himself and enjoyed the meals he had each night.

Suddenly, he realized why people began dropping their food. A violent sneeze overtook him tonight, and his nose dripped over his open muzzle, his throat groaning lightly. He was sick.

Having not been sick in years, James calmly kept his mouth open, his tongue hanging out from the difficulty of breathing air simply through his mouth. Every now and then the wolf would come across a plant that he would sniff at, regardless of the snot, and found some to be of the kinds he was looking for. This took him several hours, but each time he succeeded his mouth filled a little more with material blocking his supply of air, his sneezes almost taking away his work every time. Chewing up the mass of foliage now his spit chemically bonded many of the materials together into a useful concoction. Using his tongue, James simultaneously licked his nose and swallowed the mixture. Sitting down, James waited several minutes and his head began to clear, his nose cleaning itself of the draining fluids all at once. He shook his muzzle to rid himself of most of the gunk from his face and moved onward, looking forward to a continuation of the feast given to him by this illness.
