Clan Titan

Hey kiddos, it's time for the announcement you've all been waiting for. We at Titan are finally going to start an official RP.

Now, our official RPs are going to be a little different that the free form RPs that take place in the Palace. For this RP we will have a few rules. Character Sheets will have to be approved, and there will be moderators to keep the story on track.

For this particular storyline we will be running there will be one specific rule for your characters you'll need to keep in mind when submitting. For this RP there can be no magic used. This includes magical items, divine and otherworldly magic. I can't tell you more until the RP is officially underway but just so you know there are no exceptions to this rule, so please, don't bother posting or pming me about how your character should be an exception. I know it sounds limiting, but trust me, this rp is going to be fun.

So plan your characters, post the sheets, and post a link to them here so the RP council can begin the approval process.

Just as a clarification for the submission process:

Characters that are submitted for official characters are essentially "rubbers-stamped" once we accept them. What this means is that no revisions or changes can be made to them once they have been accepted, except by events that take place in the official RPs. This may be different from what you are used to, but keep in mind that the Official RP/storylines are contiguous.

well for the rp i can understand the magic limitation.... however the Char sheet not being able to be updated regularly and only through "Official Clan" Rps...

which means nothing changes to your char in the Titan story line it stays as it was when you started in the story of Titan so anything you have done outside of said story line is not added unless you get approval from the rp council ofcourse... so lets say my char was a lowly soldier with nothing what so ever and i gain ranks from the clan eventually reaching general or high council member. but say i join another clans Rp and gain more reputation and better gear and what not and when i come back to Rp in Titan my char wont have said reputation and items unless the Rp council approves

well, yeah Gus, I think that pretty much sums it up. If you think about it though, this is one board, those others are, well, others. It's not that we don't encourage RPing in other clans or other boards, but there is so much to keep track of and so many changes that can happen, for the sake of continuity for this boards official RPs and storylines, we'd like to keep things specific to this board. I'm sure there are exceptions, like a joint RP between clans and such. And besides, this is only for the official RPs, we'll still have the Palace for those unofficial, just whatever you wanna do RPs.

And who's to say you can't RP your character other ways in other places? For the purposes of the Official RPs, though... There does need to be a standard.

Do you think there is a posibly we can gather all of the major clans and RP communities to come up with a universal system that we all can abide by? FK is rather reserved in its system as well, but I must say we allow RPs to stand else. Our problem is moreso with diety-level chars and RL issues.

The point is maybe we all can get together and decide on rules we can all support and count on. Maybe create not only RP boards in respective areas that can keep track of changes, but a universal board full of reps from each area.

Maybe it's a farfetched idea, but if we all could pull it off it'd bring us together while forging a system that has been unheard of until now.

That is actually my ultimate goal with the Titan RP system: to create a standardized DC-(and other worlds)-based roleplaying universe.

Sounds like a plan, who do I submit char sheet too?? I'll use this account but I have a wee pirate lass char, that should be perfect for this kind of thing....Penni relies too much on magic for me to use her...or do you have to actually be in Titan to participate?? Somebody please e-mail or AIM me, since I don't always have time to get around here...but if there is RP I'm in, and I've really been wanting to play with my new char, but she's totally nonmagical, which makes it hard at the 'some' of the other boards, and TG's RP seems to have died waaayyyy off , so I need somewhere to RP...Y'all have a great day, and thanks in advance for answering my questions!

We will accept characters from anywhere; we just need the characters "registered" with us.
