For all ye uncultured sloths, Lord British is mine leige, the Sovereign of Britannia. He created the world of Ultima and is a revolutionary in video games. Enjoy!

Random Fact: You get on a space ship and go to another planet in one of the Ultima games. (I think either the first or second.)

I thought that was one of the Worlds of Adventure series, the Martian Dreams?

That's the only one I know of in which you go to another planet.

Nope, i just checked. Definitely talking about Ultima 1 & 2. (Though, technically, all you do in Ultima 1 is fly around and shoot down ships. You do go to other planets in Ultima 2.)

Mm, nifty. I must not have played 1 & 2 enough.
So there's 3 games in which you go to space. Nifty. Mayhaps Lord British will go twice more?

Lord British, aka Shamino, aka Richard Garriott. Yes, I know him, and I've talked with him on several occasions. He's an avid member of the SCA, and has one HELLA nice snake medallion he always wears. Has more money than he knows what to do with, but is very kind with it.
:p
Ekeedit: I was gonna say something, but realized it didn't exist.

I think Shamino was his original alter-ego. Lord British came later, as a result of his work on the games.

Ahh, that would make sense.
It's nice that the name stuck with a recurring character, though.
