Well, first you'll need a high school degree, which will take 18 years of your life. Then you'll need a bachelor's degree, another 4. Then a master's, at least another 2 years. Finally, if you really want good money, you'll need a phD, which will take you yet another 2 years. Then you'll need about 1 year of job searching, and at least 10 years of experience in the same dead-end job. You'll also need some connections in your industry, which will take at least 5 years to forge after you've gotten enough experience. Then after another 2 years of suck-uppery, you'll be set for some good money.

That's...44 years. About as fast as I can get you.

Let's not forget, Ominous... after 44 years, you'll be about $200,000 in debt from all that school to earn the big bucks. So... by the time you dig yourself out of debt, it's time to retire.

Though you'll have to work at least 10 more years to retire since pensions just aren't being given out like they should anymore.
