Shoot, Tordek! I know about the Gumball 3000. It came through Tucson a couple years back (2003)... all those fancy wheels. *swoon*

Anyone is wondering what it is, it's a road race-- usually in Europe, but also in the USA. Entrance fee is something ungodly ($10k or so) and you have to pay your own speeding tickets and bail along the way. Of course, the race doesn't "condone" such behaviour, but we all know it happens anyway.

They usually have photos, T. If you get a little bent on the wait, I can send you the video from '03 if I can find where I put it!

I think they increased the amount to 24k, British Stirling for this year, but that covers your co-pilot too. I had some buddies watch the start up over there in Pall Mall...They should be done on...what, Monday? They return to Trafalgar...

Yeah, shame they didn't come to the US this year, but I'm going to have to admit...the US roads are by far the coolest ones available to drive on, especially with the way traffic moves in this country.

It's pretty damn cool that you got to see them up in Tucson though. They stopped for a checkpoint? They probably had some photo op then, with half naked girlies runnin' around all the billionaries and pro skaters. Wouldn't you just swoon too? XD
